Installing the beta

• Fanal is in beta on iPhone through Apple's TestFlight app. Install TestFlight from the App Store, then open the invite email from Apple and tap the link.
• No invite yet? Check your spam folder for an email from TestFlight, or email us and we'll resend it.
• When a new build is ready, open TestFlight and tap Update next to Fanal.

Trips aren't recording

• Open the iPhone Settings app, tap Fanal, then Location, and choose Always. Fanal needs this to start and stop trips on its own.
• Make sure Background App Refresh is on for Fanal, under Settings, General, Background App Refresh.
• Low Power Mode can delay background location updates. If trips start late, try a drive with it off.

A camera on the map looks wrong

• Plate reader locations come from the community-mapped DeFlock and OpenStreetMap data. Speed and red light cameras come from official city and state sources where they publish them.
• If a camera is missing, in the wrong place, or no longer there, send us the street or intersection and roughly when you saw it.

The speed limit looks wrong

• Posted limits come from state data where available (such as Connecticut) and OpenStreetMap elsewhere.
• When no posted limit is known, Fanal shows an estimate based on the road type and state default, and labels it as an estimate rather than a posted sign.
• Always follow the posted signs. Send us the road and direction if a limit is wrong and we'll look into the source.

Your data

• Your trips are stored encrypted on your phone. You can delete a single drive or erase all of your data from inside the app at any time.
• Deleting the app also removes its data from your phone.
